Senior Associate at Dar, leading the design of Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, set to become the world’s largest airport. He manages complex geometry and large-scale design streams, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and driving innovation from concept to delivery.
Previously, he was a Lead Designer at Zaha Hadid Architects, contributing to landmark international projects such as The Henderson in Hong Kong and Navi Mumbai International Airport in India. His portfolio spans diverse programmes and scales, consistently defined by innovation, fluid design, and transformative architecture. He brings together architectural vision, advanced digital workflows, sustainability, and a strong foundation in aesthetics to deliver designs that are both forward-looking and enduring.
Fernando holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture and Urbanism from PUC-GO in Brazil and a Master’s from the Architectural Association’s Design Research Laboratory in London.
